This is a nifty thing I happened upon thanks to my 12yr old son. He came home and wanted to voice/video chat with his best friend. I had no clue until I did a bit of research. You do have to create a gmail account, download both the google talk setup as well as install the google talk plugin but this is a SMALL "price" for being able to communicate with whomever you desire for FREE. Oh, I forgot to mention...YOU MUST ALREADY SUBSCRIBE TO AND HAVE INTERNET ACCESS (of course) which you're responsible for the bill. That's it! I use it ALL THE TIME and I absolutely LOVE IT! You can either voice or video chat; regularly chat; or dial like a telephone. They've even recently updated so that you can leave a chat voicemail message. Oops...one more thing...your computer must be equiped (externally or internally) with the proper equipment...such as webcam and microphone.
