How do I start a bounty for my question on Fanhow?

You may offer a bounty after you ask a question, if the question does not have an accepted answer. You must have at least 50 reputations to offer a bounty. This costs your reputation, but it will push your post to the featured tab for 7 days and visually distinguish it from other posts. It will get more attention. But once you set the best answer for a bounty question, the operation cannot be canceled again and the user whose answer you accepted will gain the bounty. If the bounty expires, but you still haven’t accepted an answer, the answer with the highest votes will be automatically marked as accepted. In this case, this user of this answer will gain half of the bounty, but you will also lose all of the reputation offered for the bounty.

How to write a good know-how title?

  1. Your article title needs to immediately capture the interest of your intended audience and motivate them to read further.
  2. Decide the purpose of your article. Are you trying to convince your audience to do something.
  3. Determine the main idea of your article. Use a shortened version of the main idea in the title of your article.
  4. Craft an article title that offers readers a glimpse of the content with your first glance. Aim for simple, straight-forward language in the article title but don't be afraid to also try a catchy phrase or wordplay.
  5. Syntax: Avoid the use of introductory phrases; Avoid using ALL CAPS, Internet shorthand, and emoticons.

  1. After signing in Fanhow, click the "Account Settings" on the login page to open the account settings page.
  2. Find the horizontal navigation bar on the upper side and then click on the “Avatar” link to get in.
  3. Choose the right avatar by clicking on "Browse" link and upload it. Be sure that the image is in a format compatible with Fanhow(JPEG, PNG, GIF).

Yes, you can send private or public messages in the message board without logging in Fanhow.

How can I activate my account?

When you create a Fanhow Account, you receive a verification email at the email address you used to create the account. You need to click the link in that email to verify your account. Otherwise, you cannot ask questions, post answers or other e-mail-based features on the Fanhow.


If you're not sure whether or not your account has been verified yet, you can log in and access your account. If your account hasn't yet been verified, you'll see a notification on the head of the page asking you to verify it. Otherwise, you won't see this notification.


Note:

a) The email address you use to create your account should be an address you can currently access.

b) If you don't receive this email (remember to check your email spam folder), please try again later.


Account verification helps with:

  1. Preventing spam: we try to verify that real people, not robots, are creating accounts.
  2. Recovering account access: we will use your information to verify your identity if you ever lose access to your account.
  3. Communication: we will use your information to notify you of important messages and changes to your account.
