how open a iphoto library with windows

iPhoto is the image browser and editor built in to the Mac OS. It is a very power and easy to use tool, but Leopard and the iLife 08 suite have changed the way iPhoto organizes the files. It is no longer easy to access them in Finder. Here are some ways to find your pictures when you aren't able to drag them from iPhoto itself.

Connect both Macs using a FireWire cable. On the *new* Mac you want to the files to be on, go to Applications -> Utilites -> Migration Assistant and choose your iPhoto library.

Unfortunately,there's no a software that is specified for iPhoto backup.But there are other ways:

1.You can download some applications such as Backup.app(from mac), then make a backup by using it.

2.If you have a extra drive,you can try SuperDuper.It can backup your entire HD imagein in case you run into any troubles.
