You can use Norton’s SafeWeb (http://safeweb.norton.com/lite?MKTG_SEMID=1) which installs a toolbar with an indicator to notify you if a site is safe, unknown, or not safe. You can also download Norton’s Identiy Safe which provides the same functionality as well as a password manager (Vault) and form-filler. It is free if downloaded and installed prior to October 1st.

I believe that AVG also has a Link Checker that is available from their site as well as download.com.
