You can activate a logging feature of Outlook so that Communicator writes a chat-log into an Outlook folder. Thus you can view your chat log in Outlook. Answered Nov, 30 2010

You can store copies of your chat conversations to refer to later.

To turn on the option for storing chat history:

1.Open OCS and sign in.
2.Click the status button at the top left of OCS and choose Tools > Options from the menu.

3.On the Personal tab, select the option Save my instant message conversations in the Outlook Conversation History folder. Click OK.

4.Sign out of OCS (choose Connect > Sign Out on the menu), then sign back in to apply changes.
5.All future chats will be saved in the Conversation History folder. You can open this folder in Outlook or OWA.

Important: Your chat history will not be saved when you use Communicator Web Access. Answered Jan, 15 2011
