How to view Hidden Rulers in Microsoft Word 2007

1.Move your cursor to the scroll bar on the far right side of the program. Hover the cursor over the button immediately above the scroll bar's upward arrow, which you can click to scroll up in the document. This button doesn't display any words, but when you hover the cursor over it, a small label titled "View Ruler" pops up; click the button to reveal the Ruler.

2.Click the "View" tab on the Ribbon. In the module labeled "Show," click the empty box next to "Ruler."

3.Click the "File" tab on the Ribbon, then, click the "Options" button. Click the "Advanced" tab.

To show or hide the horizontal and vertical rulers, click View Ruler at the top of the vertical scroll bar.
NOTE The vertical ruler will not appear if it is turned off. To turn on the vertical ruler, do the following:

Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Word Options.

Click Advanced.

1.Open the document with the hidden text.

2.Select the "Office Button" and choose "Word Options."

3.Click on the "Display" tab in the "Word Options" dialog box.

4.Go to the "Always show these formatting marks on the screen" section. Add a checkmark next to "Hidden text" and click "OK." Answered Aug, 03 2011

1.Choose File/Open.
2.Set 'Files of Type' to Document Templates.
3.Open your Normal.dot file.
4.Choose View/Page Layout.
5.Choose File/Save and then
6.Choose File/Close.
