you can do as followings:
On the Drawing toolbar, click AutoShapes, point to Flowchart, and then click the shape you want.
Click where you want to draw the flowchart shape.
If you want to add additional shapes to the flowchart, repeat steps 1 and 2, and then arrange them in the order you want.

I understand you, I have same trouble with you. You can try the following step, and you may deal with it.
1) Insert new graph in PowerPoint
2) Chart -> Chart Type... click on "CustomTypes" tab.
3) Click "User-defined"
4) Select custom chart type you created with no "Auto Scale" of text and

PowerPoint

  1. Click the Microsoft Office ButtonButton image, and then click PowerPoint Options.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Select the Save AutoRecover information every x minutes check box.
  4. In the minutes list, specify how often you want the program to save your data and the program state.
