How to choose which as the external monitor on win7

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 from Vista and all was going well til' it turned off randomly when I left the room for an hour. When I turned it on everything was good but my external monitor was switched to the right from the left. It was default at the left but now it's default at the right. How do I pick the side I want my monitor to be on? Thanks! Asked Aug, 10 2011

You can install a GOM Player AC3 Filter

1、Go to the AC3Filter website (see Resources) and download the latest AC3Filter. There are several different versions, but according to the AC3Filter website, if you're unsure which you need, you should download the full version.

2、Press the Windows key and "R" simultaneously to open the "Run" window. Click "Browse" and navigate to the downloaded file. Click "OK" to start installation.

3、Follow the instructions contained in the installation. In most cases, you can accept the defaults for all options and click through to complete the installation.

4、Open GOM Player and press "F5" to pull up the "Preferences" window. Click "Filter" on the left and select "Advanced Settings" at the top.

5、Click "Advanced: Customize filter priority" to enable the "Add Filter" button, which you should then click.

6、Select "AC3 Filter" from the list and click "OK" to install the filter into Gom Player, then return to the "Advanced Settings" window.

7、Click "Highest" under the "Condition" priority option to use AC3 Filter, when appropriate, before anything else.

No. The only connection for a monitor on a laptop is to connect OUT to a monitor, not in. Attempting to feed display inwards can destroy the video card. Answered Aug, 09 2011

You can connect your external hard drive to your computer first and insert the installation disk of win7. Then press F12 to choose boot from the win7 disk. Then choose to install the operating system to external hard drive. Answered Aug, 04 2011
