Permission Denied during install

sponsored ads

Hi,

I'm trying to Install Ubuntu within Windows. However, once installation completes, I get the following error:

An error occurred:

Permission denied

For more information, please see the log file:
c:\users\owner\appdata\local\temp\wubi-9.04-rev128.log

However, there is no appdata folder within c:\users\owner on my computer. Please help! Thanks! Asked Oct, 29 2011

Try to save the iso image of your UBUNTU into the same folder of WUBI. Or try UNetbootin, it allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions without burning a CD. Answered Oct, 31 2011

Please don't do this as it is against forum rules. Also, it doesn't look like you gave the post in the Newbie forum very long before posting this. LQ has an auto bump feature, where threads with zero replies are automatically bumped to the top of the forum for a couple of days. Also please remember that people here donate their time and efforts, and if it takes a bit to get an answer, that is just the way it goes. Answered Jul, 04 2011

If you read the home page of the web site, it clearly says images are available for licensing. Even if it didn’t say that, the content is copyrighted, so any unauthorized use is a violation of copyright laws and subject you to severe penalties, including mandatory prison time.

To find out if you can license something and the cost, read this page: http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/licensing/licensing.html
