1 Open a scene explorer and use the check boxes in the Frozen column to freeze and unfreeze objects.
2 Open the Display panel and then expand the Freeze rollout.
3 Choose Tools menu Display Floater. This modeless dialog has the same options as the Freeze rollout. It also contains Hide options.
4 Access the Object Properties dialog from either the right-click (quad) menu or the Edit menu. Turn on Hide and/or Freeze.
5 In the Layer Manager, click in the Freeze column to freeze/unfreeze each layer in the list.
6 Right-click in the active viewport and choose a Freeze or Unfreeze command from the quad menu Display quadrant.
