Well, you can see whether this way can help you:
1 Before we begin you must remember that when you call someone they cannot hear you unless you have Apple Ipod Headphone with built in Microphone. On your ipod touch go to the App Store.
2Go to the search tab, Then search "fring"
3Then install Fring
4Open fring. Then go to More -> Add ons. Save that and then go to your computer. go to http://viopstunt.com and download it.
5 then setup your account. once that is done go back to your ipod touch and click on the SIP box. type in your user name and password.
6Then make a test call. Go to dialer and put in your phone number.(put in +1 for US)

The latest official firmware for the iPhone 2G is iOS 3.1.3.
I don’t know if it’s possible to get a newer hacked version on the 2G but considering that even the 3G is said to suffer in performance with iOS4 and the risks involved in such an update I don’t think it’s worth it.
