I ever used SpeedFan. You can adjust the fan speed within the interface. Also, it gives you a lot of other diagnostic tools too.

(1) By running a lot of program on your combuter
(2) Buy a fan controlling device (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992003 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000011&Description=fan+controller&name=Controller+Panels)
(3) Go check your motherboard BIOS, chances are you may be able to change it their, using temperature setting
(4) Try using this program, it might work http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

1.1
Download the latest drivers (see Resources) for the NVIDIA Forceware utility.

2.2
Double-click on the "NVIDIA" setup file to begin the installation. After the installation completes, restart your computer.

3.3
Right-click on your desktop, and then click the "NVIDIA Forceware" link. The NVIDIA Forceware dialog box displays on-screen.

4.4
Click the "Tab" that indicates the name of your graphics card, and then click the "Fan Speed Control" option from the list under the "Global" driver settings section.

5.5
Move the slider to the right to increase the fan speed or to the left to decrease speed. Click the "Application Controlled" check box to manually control the speed for each application.

6.6
Click the "OK" button to apply the changes and close the NVIDIA Forceware dialog box.

1.
Click the Windows orb logo at the bottom of the desktop to show the Start menu. Choose the Control Panel from the menu. Click on "Hardware and Sound," then select "Power Options" to open a window.
2.
Click the "Change Plan Settings" link next to the "Recommend Settings" power plan or another plan of choice.
3.
Click on the "Change Advanced Power Settings" link which opens the "Power Options" dialog box. Click the "Advanced Settings" tab to the front of the box if it is not already.
4.
Scroll down to find the "Processor Power Management" setting and click the plus sign "+" to expand it.
5.
Click to expand the "System Cooling Policy" setting.
6.
Click to the right of the settings for "On Battery" and " Plugged In," which activates the option to change those settings. Change the setting to "Passive" to reduce CPU fan speed or "Active" to increase CPU fan speed.
7.
Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons to save and close out of the dialog box. Exit the other open windows. Answered Jan, 01 2011
