Fade edges and/or borders of photos
1. Open your image on a single layer
2. Add a new empty layer and move it to bottom
3. Fill the bottom layer with a color you want to "fade into"
4. Select the image layer and make a rectangular selection inside it
5. Invert selection
6. Open "Transparency..." from Adjustments menu and turn the edge of your image transparent
7. Press Esc to deselect
8. Open "Gaussian Blur Channel" from Effects>Blurs menu and dial in Alpha blur until desired effect
