1. Double-click in the header area or the footer area (near the top of the page or near the bottom
of the page).
This opens the Design tab under Header & Footer Tools.
2. To place your page number in the center or on the right side of the page, do the following:
• To place your page number in the center, click Insert Alignment Tab in the Position group of the
Design tab, click Center, and then click OK.
• To place your page number on the right side of the page, click Insert Alignment Tab in the
Position group of the Design tab, click Right, and then click OK.
3. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Quick Parts, and then click Field
4. In the Field names list, click Page, and then click OK.
5. To change the numbering format, click Page Number in the Header & Footer group, and then
click Format Page Numbers.
6. To return to the body of your document, click Close Header and Footer on the Design tab
(under Header & Footer Tools).

Here is my workaround until I learn the right way myself... You have to be working in Compatibility Mode, that is, with .doc instead of .docx. Once in Compatibility Mode you can do the following:
(1) Right-click on the Text Box
(2) Select "Format Text Box"
(3) In the lower, right-hand corner is a small box, "Convert to Frame"
(4) Click "OK" on the message that comes up.

Note: Strangely, when you are all finished, you can convert your document back to .docx and the frame(s) will be preserved as frames, with perhaps some minor position adjustments needed.

Hope that helps. Answered Dec, 01 2010

The license keys are matched to specific to the Office packages. If your Office 2007 Professional Edition is a non-trial edition,
then you can use that license to activate the product and choose which apps to have installed via the control panel Add/Remove
Programs.

If MS Office Basic edition (OEM only) is all you need then after backing up, obtain a MS Office Basic product CD, uninstall the
Office 2007 Professional Edition, restart the PC and install the MS Office Basic edition.

Note, that OEM editions can only be activated on one computer and not transferred to another computer. Retail editions of MS Office
can be installed on two computers (one should be a 'portable') and can be moved to another computer later. Answered Dec, 12 2010
