how to remove audio from video in cyberlink powerdirector

1.click on any video file and choose “Extract Audio”.
This will give you a separate .wav audio file of that individual video clip or completed production.
2.if you choose, you can take the extracted raw .wav audio file, and using any of the free audio conversion programs available out there, convert that raw .wav audio file to any compressed audio format you want (e.g. .Mp3, .wma, .aiff, etc.). Answered Jan, 18 2011

Good luck with this. I do all the time but it's almost impossible to be 100% accurate, therefore every so often I have to split the (of course separate) audio track and re-sync. It takes a little time. But for me the KILLER is after spending time syncing, when I go to multi trim, guess what? OUT OF SYNC again after the first trim, which means the multi trim DOES NOT deal with your separate audio track. This is maddening. BTW I am using PD8
