how to select object word 2010?

Hold down Ctrl key and then select objects with mouse pointer one by one.

Just click the object to select it.

First , you should look at the toolbar on the Word 2010 , you can find the "insert " , then press it and you will find the " object " ,Then you can select your object needed . Answered Nov, 27 2010

In Word 2007-2010, the drawing toolbar is replaced by the Drawing Tools tab. But that tab only appears when you select a drawing object like a shape or a line.

If you don't have a shape to select, select the Insert tab on the ribbon and insert any shape.

I've used the drawing toolbar in th past to select the selection tool, which helped select otherwise hard-to-select drawing objects, like ones postioned behind text. I can't find a simialr selection tool in Word 2007/2010, but there is something maybe better. On the Drawing Tools tab, select Selection Pane. The Selection and Visibility pane appears on the right. It lists all the drawing objects in the document. You can select an object there and it will be selected in the document. You can temporarily hide the object by clicking on the little eye icon. The only way I have found to do this is to save in .doc format - then the selection tool works fine (rubber-band). Answered Apr, 28 2011
