Click on "Start", then "Run" then type "regedt32" in the run box and click the "OK" key and your registry will appear for editing and you will see "HKEY LOCAL MACHINE" as one of the key indexes of your registry.

I'm afraid that "C?\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX is just the "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX".

You can also use the "%windir%\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX"

If you have Administrator's rights, then follow these (given below) steps:

  1. Click on start (Windows start menu)
  2. Type "regedit" (withot quots) in search-bar
  3. and then press enter, now you can see registry editer on your screen.

If you have not administrator rights, then you cannot acces registry editer.

Registry editor will open and you can access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
