hi,guy, why aren't you contacting the 'connectify' support people? There is a chance someone who hangs here has experience with it  and may be able to help you, but I still think the place for you to start is to contact the maker of connectify.

Mike,

Maybe go into your phone’s settings to make sure everything is turned on and working properly. Assuming you’ve already done that, there could be multiple factors to explain this. It could be a hardware issue or simply a connection problem with the network. I’m not a big fan of AT&T’s 3G network, but maybe it is something simple.

Are you trying to connect to a secured network? Maybe it requires a password. Have you tried connecting to other wifi networks and gotten the same result? If you have, maybe it would be worth it to pay AT&T a visit and have them look at your hardware.

If iPhone 3GS is not rebooting then press the home button and hold it while connecting it to iTunes.iTunes will detect your phone and will restore your phone, but you will lose your jailbreak and all the apps that you downloaded after the jailbreak.

Now,save the network setting of Vodafone that you have.If iPhone is still unable to make calls then turn on Airplane mode for 10 seconds and then turn it off.

If still this method doesn’t works then try disabling 3G network on your phone and make calls and SMS –

If still it’s unable to make calls and SMS then replace your Vodafone SIM for a new one as one person was successful in resolving this issue by doing this in the forum below –

Now,when your calls and SMS service starts to work and you plan for jailbreaking your phone, consider the tips mentioned in the below forum link –

Configuration of the service requires the following steps:
To get started, click on the Connectify logo in the Notification Tray.
1. Select the Internet connection you wish to share
2. Choose a name for your new wireless network
3. Choose a wireless passphrase
4. Press the Internet Sharing button to turn on your wireless network
5. Now, from your other devices, you can see your wireless network. Choose to join it, and enter the wireless passphrase to connect. Answered Dec, 10 2010
