answer this question

1.create a text box, leave it blank
2.then go to MS Word,
3.write whatever text you want then change the font to whatever you want
4.copy and paste it into into the Adobe text box
5.set the default text box properties to the those of that box
6.then all further text boxes will have that format/size text. Answered Apr, 17 2011

It can be changed, it's just incredibly unintuitive. Select the text itself (not just the textbox), then press ctrl-E (Windows) or Command-E (Mac); this will bring up a text properties toolbar that will allow you to change the color, font, size, style, alignment, etc. Answered Feb, 20 2011
