1 .   Open MS Word 2007 or 2010.

2 .   Click on tab "Insert" and then on equation.


3 .   Click on aero to view more symbols in equation design tool.


4 .   Select degree symbol and click.

The easiest way is that you only have to press and hold the ALT key while typing 0176. “ALT+0176” Answered Dec, 17 2010

This should work in any Windows word processor, text editor, browser or email client.

1. Make sure your keyboard is in NumLock mode.
2. Hold down the ALT key and enter the number 248 (°) on the numeric keypad. (Note that many laptops have a blue FN key that changes a set of keys, also with blue numbers on them, into a numeric keypad.) Answered Feb, 25 2011
