I have addressed this issue on my blog at: http://rshullic.wordpress.com
Basicaly, there is no in-place conversion/migration for exfat to NTFS or NTFS to exfat, the only option would be to copy the file off the drive, reformat, and copy back.
Utilities, such as partition utilities like the only Partition Magic, don't support exFAT. Until such a utility comes out, in-place can't be done. And even going the opposite way (exFAT to NTFS), the CONVERT command won't support exFAT either.
Also keep in mind that any file permissions and extended attributes would also be lost since exFAT doesn't support them. That also includes any alternate data streams. The only thing that exFAT will give you over FAT32 is that if any of your fies are larger than 4GB, exFAT should support them.

Well, If you don’t want anyone deleting or renaming or messing around with your data, maybe your younger sibling, then Prevent may be able to help you.
