Open both the files.
Select the slides you want from the ppt, copy them (ctr+c).
Now switch to the other file and do (ctrl+v).
The slides would now appear in the second ppt file. Answered Dec, 24 2010

follow the next:
1.Open powerpoint and start a new presentation or open an existing one.
2.Decide where you want the new slide to be inserted into the presentation by viewing the existing slides in the "Slides" pane on the left side of the screen.
3.Right-click in the blank space between the slides on the "Slides" pane at the point where you'd like to insert a new slide. The slide you want to appear just before the new slide should be above the blank space, and the slide you want to follow the new slide should be below the space, unless you are creating a new last slide.
4.Click "New Slide" to insert a new slide into the "Slides" pane.
5.Click on the new slide to add text, pictures and anything else you would like to include. Answered Jan, 01 2011

* Open a PowerPoint file
* On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Sound from File.
* Click the music or sound file you want to insert and then click OK.

·Tips: Always put the music/audio file in the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation. If you later move the PowerPoint presentation to another computer, copy the music/audio file too. Keeping your music/sound file in the same folder as your presentation ensures the link will still work. However, you should always test the music/audio file on a new machine just to be certain. Re-insert the music/audio file, if necessary.

* After you click OK, you' are promoted with a message asking how you want the music/audio file to start in the slide show. Choose Automatically.

If you want to set your song as background music, please follow the steps:

Here are the instructions:

1 Open the PowerPoint 2010 presentation and view the slide you want to be visible while the song plays.

2 Choose "Insert," located above the Ribbon in the tabs section. Notice that clicking "Insert" changes the toolbar options visible in the Ribbon.

3 Select the "Audio" button then click "From file." This allows you to browse your computer's files.

4 Locate the song you wish to insert into your presentation in the resulting file window.

5 Double-click the song file. This selects the song, closing the "File" window.

6 Choose one of two song playback options from the resulting prompt: "Automatically" or "When Clicked." Answered Jan, 06 2011
