answer this question

1. Highlight the text from which you want to remove double spacing. This can be a sentence, paragraph or entire page that you want to change.
2. Hold down the Control (Ctrl) key and the number 1 key at the same time. This should change the spacing from double to single-line spacing.
3. Repeat the process in other parts of the document where you want to remove the double space in NotePad. Answered Dec, 24 2010

Changes the horizontal space between selected objects.

If you want to change the amount of space between the lines of text on your slides you can do so using the Line Spacing dialogue-box.
1. Select the text for which you want to change the line spacing.
2. Click on the Format menu.
3. Select the Line Spacing command.
4. In the Line Spacing dialogue-box select the amount of space that you want between lines, this is given either as how many line spaces you want to have between lines, or in percentages of the space taken up by a line.
You will probably want to experiment with this at first.
5. When you have decided how much space you want, click on the OK button. Answered Feb, 24 2011
