how to use connectify with nokia

Configuration of the service requires the following steps:
To get started, click on the Connectify logo in the Notification Tray.
1. Select the Internet connection you wish to share
2. Choose a name for your new wireless network
3. Choose a wireless passphrase
4. Press the Internet Sharing button to turn on your wireless network
5. Now, from your other devices, you can see your wireless network. Choose to join it, and enter the wireless passphrase to connect. Answered Dec, 10 2010

Connectify does work under Windows XP Service Pack 3 as ad-hoc (device to device) network.

Creating a software Access Point is a feature built into Windows 7 and those applications are mostly just a GUI to that functionality.

The only other software that states full XP compatibility I could find was RouterSoft. http://www.routersoft.net

 hi,guy,why aren't you contacting the 'connectify' support people?There is a chance someone who hangs here has experience with it  and may be able to help you, but I still think the place for you to start is to contact the maker of connectify.

Go to start menu, then click on RUN, and type msconfig. Hit enter and you will see a pop up window. Go to the startup tab and uncheck the ones you dont want to start up after a restart.

Once you uncheck some programs, it will ask you to restart your computer. Click "yes" and reboot your computer. When it starts up, another popup will appear asking if you want this popup window to start next time. Click on the check box that says you dont want it to reappear, and then click "OKAY".
