What do you need to reconfigure?  What checkboxes are you talking about?

Go to the properties of your network connection. Uncheck the TCP/IPv6 check box and press ok. Disable and re-enable network connection by using the right mouse button on network connection or reboot computer. This is just one of many ways to accomplish this. Answered Mar, 20 2011

Change your Screensaver settings.
Right-click the desktop> Personalize> Screensaver. Change the time before
the screensaver comes on and/or uncheck "On resume, display logon screen."

Hope this helps. Answered Mar, 22 2011
