How to burn a 6 GB iso to a 4.7 GB DVD-R?

sponsored ads

I have: DVD Shrink, 123 Copy DVD, Alchohal 120%, and i am willing to download more software if it is free and necessary..

I have a regular 4.7 GB DVD-R, and i need to put an iso on there that is about 6 GB. I read something about doing dual layer DVD burning, but i dont know how to do that.. Do i need a DVD burner with dual layer capabilities, or just dual layer DVD-R's or both?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you can use "E.M. Easy DVD Copy".It is very easy to use, only one mouse-click!

The size of the compressed DVD movie can be decreased to 20% of the original DVD movie.

E.M. Easy DVD Copy is an easy, effective, handy DVD movie backup software!

By using E.M. Easy DVD Copy, you can easily copy, shrink and burn your whole DVD at a high speed and with high quality.

You can aslo copy or shrink your favorite titles, pgc, chapters, subtitles and audios to hard disk or blank DVD disc. Answered Dec, 24 2010

single layer DVD's typically store 4.7 Gigabytes of data, and dual layer DVDs 8.5GB. You can choose to use dual layer DVD.

Omer,

There is nothing wrong with your laptop. Mine says the same thing. I’m not sure why it saves a chunk of RAM like that but I’m sure there is a logical reason. Upgrading to 8GB shouldn’t mean that 3.75 will be usable. It’ll probably be more like 7.75.

Vdeo DVD use MPEG-2 codec to encode video data, but most dvd players can't play separate mpeg2 or vob files, most dvd players only play standard video DVD well that include VOB, IFO and BUP files, fit/burn large mpeg movie to a 4.7 gb dvd rw disc to play well on dvd player, you just need
to use a right software, you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can fit/burn large movies onto a standard video DVD(such as fit/burn 6.5 GB movie or more onto a standard video DVD), it can directly convert any movies to standard video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), easy to use, just run RZ DVD Creator, directly drag&drop your mpeg movie into the program, if you view a message tip "Source DVD size is larger than CD/DVD disc capacity", you can click "Yes", the program will auto compress the movie to fit the size of inserted DVD disc, then click START button, you will get a good standard video DVD from your movie, and then you can watch the burned standard video DVD on your dvd player with good quality. You can google or yahoo search and download RZ DVD Creator, hope it can help you.
