Trying to get rid of garbage installers takes quite a bit of work OR just follow these easy steps. BTW, I'm a retired Microsoft support engineer, follow the steps and even if you make a mistake, it is no big deal, you won't lose anything.
The biggest problem with those junk installers/updaters is that you can't just delete the .exe file because it is ALWAYS on so you CAN'T get rid of it...or so they think. You do NOT have to buy any special software. Here's how:
1. Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time. 2. Type C:\program files 3. If you are using Windows 7, select Program Files (x86) 4. Click on the Restore button at the top right of the Window 5. DRAG the folder to the Desktop AND LEAVE IT THERE! 6. Restart your computer. I recommend clicking on the Start icon and selecting 7. Restart from the pull-down menu at the bottom of the Start menu 8. When it starts up BEFORE the Windows Logo appears Press F8 9. Choose SAFE MODE 10 Then locate the offending folder and drag it to the Recycle Bin 11 Restart your computer again 12 Ta-daa! IT IS GONE!!!!!! Empty the Recycle Bin
