1. Click the Home tab on the Ribbon.
2. Select the cell or cell range you wish to unlock.
3. Click the Format button on the Cells group.
4. Click the Lock Cell command on the menu. This is a toggle command that locks or unlocks a selected cell range. Answered Feb, 11 2011

1. Select the cells you to be able to modify.

2. Choose Home > Cells > Format > Cells.

3. Click the Protection tab.

4. Uncheck the box for Locked to unlock the cells. Check the box to Lock them. Click OK.

1.Click on the cell or cells you want to lock and unlock. To lock an individual cell, click on the cell. To lock and unlock multiple cells, click on one cell, hold down the left mouse button and drag the box to include the cells you want to lock.

2.Click "Home" in Excel's top toolbar and click "Format," located in the "Cells" category of the toolbar.

3.Scroll down in the drop box and click "Lock Cell."or” Unlock Cell”

4.Protect your spreadsheet to complete the process by again clicking "Format" and then "Protect Sheet." You need a password..
