You can make your wanted four-sided pyramid through the tutorials below.

1 .Fold a sheet of paper into even thirds. Open up your paper completely and turn it 90 degrees to the right. Fold your paper into even thirds again.

2 .Open up your paper once more. You should now have nine even squares--three squares in the top row, three squares in the middle row, and three squares in the bottom row. Cut out the four corner squares, using the fold lines as a guide. This leaves five squares that form the shape of a cross. The center square will be the base of your pyramid. The four attached squares will be cut into triangles.

3 .Fold the left side of your paper across to meet the far right edge of your paper. When folded, it should look like a sideway letter "T" that is tilted to the left. Open up your paper, then fold down your paper to meet the bottom edge. This fold should form a "T" with a shorter vertical stem. Open up your paper again. Your folds should have scored the centers of each square with perpendicular lines. These lines will help you create triangles.

4 .Draw a line from the bottom left corner of the top square to the midpoint on the same square. Use your ruler to ensure you are drawing straight lines. Draw another line from the bottom right corner of the top square to the midpoint on the same square. Cut along the lines you've just drawn to create your first equilateral triangle. Turn your paper to the right 90 degrees to create another triangle with a different "top square." Continue drawing and cutting lines on the remaining squares, except for the center, which will remain square. When finished, you should have four equilateral triangles with their bottom edges sharing an edge with the center square.

5 .Fold up each triangle using the lines of the center square as the bottom base for each triangle. When folded, the triangles become adjacent, forming a pyramid. Tape the edges of the triangles where they meet each other to complete your pyramid.

You can create a 2 sided plane in max if you create a plane then convert it to a editable poly, select the non-normal side using the border tool and press the cap button. I think this should achieve the 2 sided effect without using materials.

It wouldn't be a Word function, it would be in your printer. Go to file/print and "properties" and in there, if your printer has double sided availability, you'd do it there. Unless you have an expensive printer, you can't do it. Otherwise, you'd have to print double sided manually.

good luck
