How to Build wooden barrel model by 3DS MAX First, launch 3ds MAX 2009.
Click > > Standard Primitives > Cylinder to draw a cylinder.
In panel, add the Taper modifier.
Please set the parameters as below.
Click > > Standard Primitives > Tube to draw a tube.
Please add the Taper modifier for the tube.
Now, we have been added all these tubes.
Click > > Standard Primitives > Cylinder to draw a cylinder.
Select the big cylinder and click > > Compound Objects > Boolean. Then, click the Pick Operand B button. At last, click the cylinder.
Now, Let's create the material to render the model.
Please add the Raytrace material to the material ball.

Please add the Bitmap for Diffuse of raytrace.
