Disable Active Desktop in Windows 7

Click the "Start" button, and type "regedit" in the search box.
Browse the list as
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer.
Create a new 32-bit DWORD value.
Name it NoActiveDesktop.
Double click on it to set its value data to 1.

Double click on the value named NoActiveDesktop to set its value data to 0.
