How to Reduce video buffering

1. Launch Windows Media Player, and select Rip\ More Options.

2. Switch to the Performance tab in the Options dialog box, and select Buffer X seconds of content in the Network buffering section. If you want videos to start playing sooner, you can enter a smaller number such as 3. The amount of time for downloading will depend on the speed of your Internet connection and numbers of website visitors.

3. Click OK to complete it.

    Thus you have completed the setting of reducing the time of video buffering. You can watch the online video clips more smoothly and quickly.

If you enter a small number, you will find that Windows Media Player stops playback more often for buffering. You can raise the buffer number to 10 or 20 seconds to make playback smoothly. If your are using Windows Media Player 8.0, you should select Tools\Options in step 1.
