How to Remove an Icon from Finder Sidebar in Mac OS X

Mac OS X users may want to know about how to add or remove icons from Finder Sidebar, for example, I don't like the User icon and I want to remove it. Now I will show you about how to remove an icon from Finder Sidebar in Mac OS X.

Solution

  1.  Open Finder.
    open finder
    open finder
  2. Right click the User icon.
  3. Select Remove from Sidebar.
    click Remove from Sidebar
    click Remove from Sidebar
  4. Now, it's disappeared.

Or you can also try this way.

  1. Open Finder.
    open finder
    open finder
  2. Click File --> References.
    select references
    select references
  3. Choose Sidebar.
    click Sidebar
    click Sidebar
  4. Choose those icons that you want, and others will disappear automatically.
