7-Zip is open source software. I usually use it to compress or pack files and folders, it has a higher compression ratio than other products. But not all my friends have 7-Zip installed. When I send them 7-Zip file, they just can not open it. To solve the issue, I want to know How to Use 7-Zip to Create Self Extracting Executable.
- Select all files and folders you want to compress, and then right click on one of them.
- Choose "7-Zip" -> "Add to archive..." in file context menu.
- Select the file options depending on your needs, and then check "Create SFX archive".
- Press OK and you have Created Self Extracting Executable using 7-Zip.
I am fed up with the long time when I intend to open a Rar or Zip file, I need to extract it and save it in my computer at first. I think this process really useless and a total waste of time. Sometimes we just want to see the file and don't want to save it. So I'm wondering if there is a way to directly open a Rar or Zip file without extracting.
